Responding to the Jesusita Fire On May 5, 2009, the Jesusita Fire broke out in Santa Barbara, CA, where Intersynthesis is headquartered. Almost 60,000 residents and their animals received mandatory evacuation orders or warnings. By the weekend, 8,700 acres had been burned, 80 homes were destroyed, and over 4,000 emergency personnel were on the scene fighting the fire and helping those in need. For the most recent coverage, read Jesusita Fire news in the Santa Barbara Independent. Intersynthesis extends our deepest condolences to those affected by the Jesusita Fire, and our sincere gratitude to the brave women and men putting their lives on the line to help others. We also appreciate the many local businesses and non-profit organizations that are stepping in to help in this situation. You can help, too, by supporting those who are helping others.
